OUR MISSION

We launched the Digital Response Germany initiative because we noticed in recent days, that there is a great willingness to help in this crisis and as well as a large and growing need for support.

Although some initiatives that provide support at the federal level already exist, numerous direct discussions have made it clear to us that there are many unmet needs at the city, district and municipal levels.

We are convinced that especially the coordination and matching of helping hands to urgent needs is necessary to jointly cope with the acute as well as upcoming trials of the Covid-19 virus.

THE INITIATORS

  • Jan-Peter Böckstiegel

Jan has gained several years of experience in digitization and project management from start-ups to large corporations after finishing his degree in social studies at Harvard University. He is currently completing a postgraduate course – due to corona primarily online – and wants to use his experience to provide quick help to communities/groups in need.

  • Philipp Petrescu

Philipp has built up several start-ups in different industries and loves solving problems with tech as well as building digital products with added value. He is an advocate of the “Future of Work” and has founded MVPF, a digital consultancy that has always been a remote-first environment. This knowledge is what he brings to the initiative.

We are a steadily growing group of volunteers with different backgrounds ranging from start-ups, the public sector, large companies and freelancers to students who have experience with technology-related work in government and administration or are simply motivated to support with their skills.

Together, we have already built up a large network of qualified tech experts who are available when needed. Many have experience working with the public sector – as well as a high level of respect for the civil service, which is an important requirement for our volunteers.

OUR PARTNERS

  • MVP Factory

MVPF supports the initiative with its expertise in the development of digital products and its network of over 1000 certified freelance developers, designers, and product managers, many of whom have chosen to provide voluntary support.

If you also want to become a partner and would like to support our initiative voluntarily with know-how, resources or your network, please contact us via info@digital-response.de. Together we are stronger!

* Digital Response Germany is not liable for the helpers allocated, as well as the products/results of their support.
